I saw that someone made a graphic recasting Data with Tom Hiddleston and it was so genius! And then I rewatched the episode with Lal because I love her to death and instantly thought of Emilia Clarke as a recast. Also I wanted to redesign her awful dress and sort of modernize the TNG uniforms. Also a warm up for actual portfolio illustrations. Data Lal The Next Generation my art TNG Daddy and baby :)

I have four concept dresses.
The first is based on Klingons. Post-TMP era Klingons with the crazy lavish armor. More TNG than the films (since the films are all that hideous red leather).
A chiffon bottom with tule underneath over leggings and ankle boots with a heel of your choice; the top has very structured shoulders that mimic the broad shoulders of the Klingon armor, torso seams to slim the figure, long sleeves, gloves, a plunging neckline and a fur collar.
The second is based on Vulcans. Which are based on the Japanese. I did like the stiffness of the old films then the very kimono-like stuff in First Contact and then the flowing yet still oddly structuredness of the new film. Very inspired by something Amanda Greyson would wear.
So a long floor trailing chiffon dress that hugs the hips, a wide 3/4 belt ‘held up’ by a thin piece of chiffon, stiff wide sleeves that go to the elbows with a fitting sleeve underneath, and a modestly dipping neckline.
The third is based on Romulans. I completely ignored the TNG era Romulans because jesus those are the worse costumes in the entire universe. So this is mostly based on the Romulan Commander and Nero.
A fitted jacket that stops right above the knees with a wide collar folded over onto the shoulders with fur underneath, the bottom of the jacket is draped with no pivot seam/corner, leggings and ankle boots with heels of your choice.
Last but not least are the Cardassians. I had a female version of Garak in mind but I was mostly inspired by the easy, strong, and down-right sexy Gul Dukat. Unf. The funky collar to accommodate their necks and shoulders and the lines on their… uniforms? armor? whichever.
A one piece dress with a false high waisted hobble skirt with diagonal, body slimming seaming on the sides, a very plunging neckline with slashes in the shoulders, wide sleeves go down the elbows with fitted sleeves underneath. The skirt goes to mid calf with opaque tights and ankle boots with heels of your choice OR knee high boots with heels of your choice.
If you had the money, would you wear these? Would you want something more Trekkie or something more simple?

I have no idea where this came from. I was at first designing a graphic for a star trek shirt and it was supposed to be them frolicking in space in NASA Space suits but then it just got… morbid.
Would probably make for a great hipster art print. Or something.

Around the age of seven is when I actually started to ~notice~ my face. I have a mole dead-center, under my bottom lip.
